Manchester United face a major setback ahead of their high-stakes trip to Stamford Bridge, as the Football Association has officially suspended Harry Maguire. The veteran center-back will be unavailable for the clash against Chelsea, leaving a significant void in United’s defensive line.

Reason why English FA suspended Harry Maguire?

The ban stems from a red card incident against AFC Bournemouth. While the dismissal carried an automatic suspension, the FA extended the penalty by an additional match following a review of Maguire’s conduct toward officials post-red card.

This “improper behavior” charge arrives at a crisis point for the club; with Lisandro Martínez also sidelined due to a red card against Leeds, caretaker manager Michael Carrick is left with a depleted and leaderless back four. Chelsea will undoubtedly look to exploit this instability as both teams fight for league positioning.
